SEE HOW YOUR SOUNDS CONNECT
Live rhyme scheme analyzer
Type or paste a verse. Matching sounds light up as you write, so you can follow connections within a line and between nearby lines.
Edits are stored in this browser. Download a backup to keep a separate copy.
How to read the colors
Matching colors show a detected sound connection. In the sample, night / light and rain / gain form two clear pairs. The analyzer can also detect internal connections, so it may mark a sound inside a line rather than only its ending.
Colors follow detected sounds. They do not force your verse into a preset pattern.
Perfect, slant, internal, and multiword rhymes
- Perfect sound matches: the compared sound segment matches exactly, as in night/light.
- Slant matches: similar sound sequences with some differences, useful when the delivery supports them.
- Internal rhymes: matching segments within a line rather than only at its end.
- Multiword matches: connected syllables that cross spaces between words.
Letters do not line up perfectly with spoken sounds. Syllable letter boundaries are estimates; when a reliable split is unavailable, the word map shows the dictionary sound sequence instead.
Adjust the map to match what you hear
- Open Word map · manual editing above.
- Choose a color button or Unhighlight, then click a word.
- Switch colors off and on when you want a plain-text view. Your manual display choices remain.
- Choose Automatic for a word to return it to the detector’s display, or reset all manual colors.
Manual changes affect this song’s display only. They do not train the pronunciation matcher. Use distinct song titles; inserting another copy of a repeated word can shift which occurrence inherits a manual choice.
Where are my lyrics saved?
This tool stores edits in your browser’s local storage. Its analysis loads the site’s pronunciation files and runs locally; it does not need an AI service. Browser data can be cleared, and a different device or preview domain has separate storage. Download a backup before leaving work you want to keep.
Why are some words not colored?
A word needs a detected partner within the nearby comparison window. Unrecognized pronunciations and slang are left unanalyzed. Live analysis compares up to four-word spans and six syllables, and pauses beyond 900 words while leaving your full text editable.
